Early Deveau Taper Shaft Candlestick Telephone

At auction from an estate is an early Deveau nickel plated taper shaft candlestick telephone. It appears to be in good vintage condition but does have some surface rust and the mouthpiece is missing. There is a diamond shaped emblem on the top which reads DEVEAU.The Bakelite earpiece has lettering which reads Eureka Electric Company Chicago. The phone measures 12” high as it appears in the photos and the base is 5 ¼” in diameter.

NOTICE--When I listed this telephone I listed it as not having a mouthpiece. I was looking in the box I acquired it in today and in a corner under other stuff I found the mouthpiece. It is in good vintage condition.
