Very Early pattern (Circa 1876-1889) commonly referred to as Crysanthemum. Schleigher # 86. This service is on the magnificantly detailed Marsaille #9 Blank with large flowers resembling chrysanthemums in pale pink, graish lavender and yellow. Large leaves in deep bluish gray. Tiny leaves and berries in pale gray with brown lines. Abundant florals thru-out the piece.

This sale is for  a Lovely #86 Chrysanthemum 3 Piece Palette Shaped Butter Tureen with  drain insert.  This Covered Butter Tureen is most graceful and measures 5 1/2 by 3 3/4 inches and stands 4 3/4 inches from tabletop (thru Finial). Covered Butter Server is decorated on both lid and sides of tureen. The shaped drain is in excellent condition. The ruffled blank is gorgeous. The bowl is in excellent condition with no imperfections noted.  Gold decor to finial is bright and in tact. The backmark is H &Co/L FRANCE.
