Four maps of Central Europe from 1762
See the photos below for the four maps of what was once called "Silesia" but is now in parts of present-day Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany.
Each map measures about 10 by 15 inches and is extremely detailed with hundreds of towns noted, rivers, streams, lakes and various hills and mountains. All have several folds and three have some portions of the outer border partially trimmed but not affecting the maps themselves. One has a minor archival repair to the reverse which is almost unnoticeable from the front.
All are in nice condition and displayable.
The maps do not have dates on them, however we are including the titlepage from the 1762 Gentleman's Magazine volume which has on the reverse the various plates and maps within the issue, with the four maps for "Silesia" clearly noted. |
