This auction is for a complete interior door passage set consisting of 2 heavy, bronze knobs, 2 solid (not stamped) bronze escutcheon, 1 iron mortise lock with key, and a spindle with 2 set screws. Original, not reproduction. Most likely made during the 1880’s.

I’ve seen the set’s pattern referred to as “Garden Flower” and “Potted Flower” by others. Either name is quite appropriate. There are finely-casted floral details in high relief on both sides of the knobs, the escutcheons, and lock face plate. All parts have been cleaned and polished, leaving some of the patina within the crevices to promote the raised details.

All parts of the set are in great shape with no breaks, cracks, dents, chips, etc. The lock was cleaned internally and operates smoothly. A key was made especially for this lock. We could make additional keys for a charge of $3/key.
