Complete first edition set of The 100 Greatest Books Ever Written, published in the 1970s and 1980s by the Easton Press.  These volumes could originally be accumulated at a rate of one book per month.  Thus, this set would have originally taken 8 years and 4 months to collect at the cost of around $50.00 per volume including shipping costs.  In recent years, The Easton Press has included new titles into this collection making the number of books in this series more than the designated 100 Books.  This set includes all one hundred titles as it was originally published.  

Each book is bound in full genuine leather with 22kt Gold accents, lettering and page ends.  Each book has a unique and elegant design adding to the beauty and rarity of this collection.  All volumes also feature rich moire endpages, a decorative satin ribbon page marker, illustrations (in most), and classic hubbed spines. The tallest books are around 12 inches high.  The total set weighs roughly 300 lbs and takes up about 13 feet of shelf space.

The overall condition of this particular set is near-fine plus.  The majority of the titles are in fine/mint condition meaning that the leather is clean and bright, the gold embossing is unflecked and also bright and there are not signs of shelfwear including scuffs, bumped corners etc.  All volumes are free of writing and previous owner's marks, stamps, etc.  Only one volume has an attached, but unsigned Easton Press bookplate, noted below.  Many come with an unattached original Easton Press bookplate.  A handful of the titles deviate into the near-fine category meaning they show minor signs of shelfwear, minor meaning only apparent on close inspection. These are noted below.

All of the books have been stored in a climate-controlled, smoke-free environment.  This collection is beautiful and in excellent shape and looks stunning on the shelf!  I know they will be enjoyed and admired by whoever wishes to purchase them.

• FREE SHIPPING within the USA when buyers use the BUY IT NOW OPTION!!
• If the auction ends at a best offer, shipping will cost $195.00 which will include full insurance and delivery confirmation.
• Items will be shipped via the United States Postal Service Media Mail (4-9 business day delivery).
• Books will be shipped in 8-10 heavy boxes. 
• At the end of the auction I will send the winning bidder an invoice for the item through PayPal.
• I will combine shipping for multiple items won within a reasonable time frame.

Payment Information:

• A PayPal echeck will be required as payment for this item.  Instant transfers will be refunded and the echeck requested. This requires the buyer to have a bank account linked to their PayPal account.  (The reason for this is to limit my PayPal fees for this item, which can be very hefty.  My fee is capped at $5.00 for an echeck, I really apprecate it!)  I'll walk the buyer through how to do this through the PayPal website when paying.
