The Confessions of Jean-Jacques Rousseau You are bidding on a genuine Easton Press classic book. This is one of a large lot I have recently inherited from a meticulous collector. The book is in MINT condition and has never been read. This book is one of the Collector’s Editions series. It has all of the fabulous features of an Easton Press book: Magnificent illustrations, Meticulously bound in genuine premium leathe,r Hubbed spine accented with 22kt gold, Lustrous moiré paper endsheets, Acid-neutral paper, Gilded page ends, Permanently bound-in satin ribbon page marker. Each book in the collection has a distinctive design embossed into the leather. This edition has a charming pattern in gold, embossed into a rich, dark grey leather. The illustrations are by William Sharp and are very fine, dramatic and detailed. The book was copyright in 1980 and is roughly 6 x 9 ½ . It is a great addition to any fine library. The beautiful moiré endsheets are showing some slight fading at the edges. I have noticed this phenomenon with some of the books I have inherited and must attribute it to normal aging. There are also some scratches on the gold page ends at the front, probably from being moved around. The book “crunches” when you open it like a book that has never been read.
