The Great Crash
By John Kenneth Galbraith.
“Galbraith perfectly captures the feverish speculative atmosphere of the 1920’s. He makes the forces controlling the stock market easily understandable and offers devastating portraits of the powerful speculators whose manipulations had so much to do with the crash. In addition, he has added a special introduction which relates the market crash of October 1987, to its cataclysmic predecessor of October, 1929.”
You are bidding on a genuine Easton Press classic book. This is one of a large lot I have recently inherited from a meticulous collector. The book is in MINT condition and has never been read. This book is from The Library of American History Collection. It has all of the fabulous features of an Easton Press book:
Meticulously bound in genuine premium leather,
Hubbed spine accented with 22kt gold,
Fabulous stars and stripes endsheets,
Acid-neutral paper,
Gilded page ends,
Permanently bound-in satin ribbon page marker.
Each book in the collection has a distinctive design embossed into the leather. This edition has a fabulous pattern in gold, embossed into a rich dark red leather.
The book was copyright in 1988 and is roughly 9x 6 ½. It is a great addition to any fine library.
There are some scratches on the gold page ends, probably from being moved around. The book “crunches” when you open it like a book that has never been read. There is no nameplate with this book.
This book comes from a non-smoking home. Please contact me if you have any other questions about this book.
