After ten years of selling on EBay I have decided to provide my EBay experience and my 40+ years in the automotive hobby to help Buyers and Sellers alike. If you are interested in the sale or purchase of a collector car or parts listed on EBay or Craigslist or any online venue please contact me. An email to schedule a time to look on line and discuss your interest is fine. I also have a phone service available. The first three minutes are free and each minute after is $1.75. It is a pretty good deal. Imagine being able to discuss a potential $20,000 purchase for less than $20 for ten minutes! The phone number is1-888-693-8437 then ext. 03906911; it is a system called Ether.com. It sets up our call and does the charging. If you would like to make other arrangements email me at dailyops@frontiernet.net. I am easy to work with. My expertise lies in pre-1970 cars of the luxury and classic type. Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmoblie, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Packard, and the like are my personal favorites. I do have experience with a wide range of cars and should be able to meet all your needs.
Buying a collector car is not easy. You really have to look at a hundred cars before you find a good one. Whether it is EBay, Trader Online, Craigslist, or your neighbor the chance of an unhappy experience is high. Your excitement will blind you. I read car ads for entertainment. If you are out there with your life’s savings to buy a car on your own God help you. Can you tell the difference between the dealer and the little old lady? Do you know how shoddy the details of a restoration can be during the final days when too much money has been spent and the restoration shop is just dying to get it out the door? Do you know that freshly restored cars do not generally steer, start, or stop? How many times will your wife allow herself to be stranded in your dream car? How many times will she let you tap the savings for another unexpected repair? How about the project car you buy, disassemble at no cost, and then find that everything you touch in reassembly is at least $100? Do you know that a typical restoration has at least 300 $100 jobs in reassembly? I am offering guidance before you get into trouble. If you don’t want to spend a few bucks up front it is OK, you won’t be alone in your flounder. If you are in trouble already I can probably guide you through a plan with some sort of recovery; maybe even the anticipated enjoyment of your car. If you tore a car apart years ago and it is still your dream I can probably help there too. Sometimes the help has to be tough. Sometimes when you take the rose colored glasses off you are still in a rose colored mist. I have four collector cars that I enjoy a lot. I have an outlook and attitude that keep my sanity, to some extent, with the cars. I can share it with you, straight forward and simple; we can look at your dream car online, we can help heal you from an uninformed purchase, and we can do what we can with that stalled project. The 20 bucks for a ten minute call is honest. I wouldn’t do it any other way. You can get more, for sure. An hour, some time spread over weeks coaching, or I can be in your garage or at the dealership with you. I charge $750 per day plus expenses if I travel. Is it worth it? You bet. Thanks for reading this far, my wish is for your dream car experience to be as rewarding as mine, Bernie |
