This particular mosaic has generated numerous stories about Scott Rose and the Edmund Fitzgerald.
The creation came about as a result of discussions that were held between Charlie Frederick and Scott Rose.
Charlie Frederick, a professor at the University of Minnesota-Duluth at the time, wrote the very first song about the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald. The writing of the song "Twenty-Nine More Men" began on the very evening the Fitzgerald went down on Lake Superior.
Frederick's version of the Edmund Fitzgerald tragedy is incorporated in a second released book written by Elle-Andra Warner.
The writer resides in Thunder Bay and has written numerous books about various exciting adventures!
Gordon Lightfoot wrote and recorded his now famous "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald".
Gordon's song became a classic!
