I got this painting at an estate sale. I do not usually sell this type of item, and I do not know too much about it. I am not sure exactly what the media is for this picture, or if it is original or some type of print. It looks like ink outlines with watercoloring details. I believe it may be a pochoir print, which is a hand colored ink stencil, but I am not sure. The outlines of the two figures look like they could be ink stencil or ink block print. The coloring on the concertina player and the dancing woman is done by hand. The picture is in good condition with the matting and frame good minus to fair with dust, etc. under the glass, mostly on the matting with a little on the picture. The back is stamped Made in France (Halouze was French). The picture is 8 3/8 inches by 8 3/8 inches with the frame 16 x 16 inches. I have taken a lot of pictures including many closeups. The latter half of the pictures, you halve to click on the links below.
I have quoted priority shipping due to the size of this item. Parcel may be cheaper, but a size surcharge will apply. You can go to the USPS website, and enter 11 pounds parcel, large item, with the size 22W x 5H x 30L, plus delivery confirmation. Insurance will be required, and added to the invoice after the item is sold.
I will be out of town over next holiday weekend, so I will not be able to ship it until May 27, 2008.
