EDWARDIAN: Return to those vanished days about a century ago! Back in the Edwardian period dating 1901 to 1914. A time when elegance and sophistication reigned and the onset of WW1 would disrupte everything. A new style of jewelry had been designed to go with the profussion of lace, silk, and feathers, that the well-dressed lady's of that time wore. Diamonds were essential to Edwardian jewelry and the stones could be shown to their best advantage, with new cutting techniques and the lovely settings holding them. Never before, nor since, has diamond jewelry been created to such a high standard. We are fortunate to still enjoy this jewelry, through the antiques that remains with us today! Here is a marvelous example!! This is a lovely Edwardian DIAMOND PENDANT, done in 14K white gold, unmarked but tested and graded I-J color, SI1-2 clarity. The chain is 15" long, with a spring ring clasp. The pendant measures 1" round and 3/16" deep and weigh 5.4grs. You will see on the front of the bale is a bezel set Diamond. This is connected to the first dangle, accented with a bezel set Diamond at the top & bottom of this design, with two prong set diamonds in the triangular shaped design. From here dangles a circle, with a lovely flower design in the center. There are a total of 24 diamonds, ranging from .03pt - .05pt, to .10pts in size. There are 10 Diamonds in a bezel settings and 14 diamonds in prong settings. Approximately 1.0ctw of diamonds. Absolutely stunning! This is sure to become your favorite piece, for any special ocassion!
