I am pleased to offer for sale this very elaborate Victorian carved secretary bookcase circa 1880. This is just the most stunning one I have ever come across. This wonderful piece measures 84 " high, 46 1/2 inches wide and 18 3/4 inches deep. The original beveled mirror measures 17 1/2 inches by 23 inches. This has been professionally refinished and has its original brass hardware and key. This has positively the most beautiful applied carvings, and stick & ball decorations that one could ever ask for. The drop front of the desk has a massive lions head applied carving with surrounding carvings of leafs and scrolls, all surrounded by a wonderful picture frame molding. The glass curio area has a total of 5 shelves (only 3 are set in place , 2 extra) to give great display possibilities , the 3 drawers below the fall front desk sections allow for ample storage.
