For nearly 60 years the Hausser firm of Germany created its wonderful miniature figures trademarked as Elastolin. Most famous are the incredible assortment of military figures, yet the company also created an incomparable wonderland of adventure scenes including Wild West and Perry's Expedition, village and domestic scenes and a Zoological Garden that encompassed hundreds of exotic animals.

Although mass produced of a secret composition material, each figure was hand painted in an artistic and imaginative way. Although created as children's playthings, Hausser Elastolin has, today, become the consummate collectors' item.

This book begins to fill that gap, presenting over 900 distinctive individual figures and sets with reference to original Hausser catalogue numbers and period of production.
