EXCELLENT CONDITION (Box is worn) The description of this mic in the data sheet says it all: It "emphasizes low frequencies when used close up." What more could you ask for from a harp mic? How about dual impedance capabilities, allowing you to use it for a variety of applications? How about an easy XLR connector, so you don't have to buy a special cable? How about light weight, well balanced, and built with the quality you have come to expect from ElectroVoice? This 70s-early 80s mic is a close cousin of the RE-10 and the 631, two proven harp mics. This one has an on/off switch, though. I rest my case. Great harp mic. If you are plugging it into a guitar amp, you will need a regular XLR-to-XLR cable with an adapter that matches impedance. Do this search on Ebay, and you will find one for $9.99: "Connector Adapter XLR(F) - 1/4"(M) Impedance Matching"
I sent one of these 627s to Adam Gussow recently, and he loves it. He has been using the same Shure mic since I met him in the 80s, and he had nothing but good things to say about this one. I consider that a victory. You might consider it a tip.
