This is another great item from my mom's collection. It is a elegant, antique, hand carved ottoman or foot stool. It is very old!! My mom inherited this from her mother, who lived in France. It has to be at least 100 years old! What a great accent piece for any room!
The base is a lovely, deep colored wood with lots of character. There appears to be 2 of the carved wooded nails missing on one side, but is really nice shape for it's age. The legs are a tiny bit loose, but they would only need to be reglued to firm them up.
The padded top will need to be reupholstered since it is stained, but otherwise, this is in great shape. It has springs inside, which make it nice and firm, with a little give.
This measures about 19" wide by 17" and 18" high.
