This is an EARLY Elgin pocketwatch out of an estate-dates to 1895! It is an 18 size model in a heavy yellow gold filled hunting case! The lever set movement is either 11 or 15 jewel, and is marked: Elgin Natl Watch Co.  Elgin Ill.  U.S.A. Safety Pinion 6137707.  Inside the case back reads: Fahys Monarch No. 1 28475. The  porcelain dial reads: Elgin Natl. Watch Co.. I don't see any hairlines on the dial. Crystal is missing. The watch runs and sets, but has been in an estate for many years, and will need cleaning to keep time. The case has light scratches --but is not worn through. The bezel lift spring is missing, and the case lid opens too far-sprung.  Heavy Case! See photos for condition please!
