Movie description
A goofy, campy, poke at puritanism and a sly wink at a host of horror films, ELVIRA, MISTRESS OF THE DARK is much more fun than it has any right to be. Dreaming of financing her own show in Las Vegas, Elvira leaves Hollywood in her customized "Macabremoblie" to claim what she thought was an inheritance. However, upon arriving in Fallwell, MA, all she finds is two drooling yokels, an overzealous morality brigade and a creepy great-uncle with more on his mind than long-lost relatives. With her penchant for double entendres and low cut dresses, Elvira scandalizes the town and soon finds herself in danger of being burned at the stake, jeopardizing her chances of ever making it to Vegas. Two fearless journalists travel to Transylvania to search for proof of the region's legendary monsters and vampires. Instead of Dracula, however, they find a mayor-c**-hotel manager transforming castles into theme hotels, and madcap doctors performing wild and wacky experiments. An uproarious spoof of vampire thrillers.

When her Great Aunt dies, famed horror hostess Elvira heads for the uptight New England town of Falwell to claim her inheritance of a haunted house, a witch's cookbook and a punk rock poodle. But once the stuffy locals get an eyeful of the scream queen's ample assets, all hell busts out and breaks loose. Can The Madonna of the Macabre find love with a studly cinema owner, avoid her creepy Great Uncle, titillate the town's teens and become a Las Vegas dance sensation all without being burned alive at the stake?

Transylvania 6-5000
Tabloid reporter Jack Harrison (Jeff Goldblum) and Gil Turner (Ed Begley, Jr.) are sent to Transylvania with two choices: find the Frankenstein monster or find new jobs. But before the jumpy journalists can dig up their big story, they must first face the horrors of an extremely clumsy butler (Michael Richards) and a nymphomaniac vampire (Geena Davis) and a semi-mad doctor (Joseph Bologna), as well as assorted mummies, werewolves and more Transylvania oddballs. Can these two bumbling heroes unravel this monstrous mystery or are they in for some very scary surprises?
