I am selling this beautiful ladies emerald cut diamond solitaire mounted in a 14k white gold cathedral setting because of the current economic situation. I just had it re-appraised by a certified diamond appraiser, local, very reputable jeweler in September (copy available to serious inquiries only) and the appraisal came out to $4800 for .80 carats. They did not remove the diamond from the setting, so the exact weight was not measurable, instead they are required to estimate the weight using a formula. The estimated weight was .80 carat. My original appraisal from 2003 had the stone listed as .90 carats (see attached Certificate of Authenticity on original estimate) which would be more accurate since the diamond was not mounted at that time. I had the ring re-set in 2007 so the two baguettes are no longer mounted with the center stone. The original band was much narrower and the side stones looked out of place on the wider cathedral setting. Notice the original Appraisal being $9995.00. I have blacked out all the names & addresses for obvious reasons. You can have a copy of the original appraisal if you want it. The ring is a size 7.5, but of course can be re-sized by your jeweler. The band is in perfect condition, no scratches, dents or dings. It looks new.This is a good deal, men, if you are thinking of "popping the question" to your girl. I do not want to sell this ring, but I need to. I can provide the Jeweler's name, address and telephone number if you would like to check on the authenticity. I will be glad to answer any questions.
