Queen Alexandrina Victoria (1819-1901) was the longest ruling British monarch, reigning for 63 years beginning in 1837.

Victoria became Queen upon the death of King William IV, one month after she turned 18 and gained majority age.  In 1840 she married her first cousin, Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Goth who became her most important advisor until his death in 1861.  The pair would produce nine children and leave 42 grandchildren.  Victoria's mourning at Albert's death lasted for the remainder of her life, though she formed a close friend in her later years with a Scottish manservant, John Brown.   During Victoria's reign the British monarchy continued becoming less political and assumed the role more of a symbolic guiding parent.  Strikes me that we Americans could benefit from such a parent. 

According to Wikipedia, Prince consort Albert is credited with introducing Christmas trees to the Court.  Reportedly Queen Victoria began the tradition of brides wearing white gowns.

Please be advised that none of my magnets are 3 dimensional objects.   None light up, none talk. They are flat pictures printed on flat flexible 30mil magnetic vinyl with a

 

protective satin-finish top coating and hand finished edges.  They are roughly twice the thickness and strength of magnetic material found at office supply stores.  The average size magnet holds 1-2 sheets of paper.

 

Q.  Will the magnet stick to my....?

A.  I'd like to have you as a customer, but not at the price of your having  impossible expectations and disappointment.  The truth is that magnets do not stick to all metals (and anyone who tells you that they do is dopey or duping).   For example, fridge magnets do not stick to stainless steel or brass.   Click here to learn more about what kinds of metals are magnet friendly and what kinds are not.

Q.  What about durability?

A.  To clean, wipe with a damp cloth. Do not soak, use abrasives or apply cleaning products containing bleach or solvents.  I've run them through the dishwasher without disaster, but they'll last longer if you keep them out of puddles and the dog's mouth.

A. Absolutely! 
You pay shipping for only one magnet (the one with the highest priced shipping of those you've selected) and shipping is free on any other magnets (provided they are ordered, paid for and shipped at the same time -- no problem if you need a couple days to make your selections but please make just one payment, to help keep my Paypal fees down).

A.  Most magnet orders are shipped by 1st class mail, in standard business envelopes (so watch your mail and don't throw the envelope away as a bill or junk mail.)  For moisture protection, they are packed inside a poly bag, and to prevent bending are sandwiched between sheets of cardboard.
