This is an original, very limited edition of the "Entertainment Weekly" Fall Preview magazine #1065/1066, dated Sept. 18, 2009, with the first ever video ad, with sound, to be included in a magazine. CBS included a paper thin video screen and player into a select and very limited supply of only a few of the subscription magazines, restricted exclusively to New York and Los Angeles, California.
When the reader opens the page, you are greeted with a video introduction by the three characters from the sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" who explain how to use the V.I.P. (Video In Print) player. You can watch and hear the video right from the page on a very clear 2" x 1 1/2" screen (see my fourth photo) using an interactive player with five channels of CBS show promos and a Pepsi Max ad. There is also a mini-USB port included on the back of the page with the ad, behind a perforated opening. This allows you to recharge the battery, as well as the ability to connect to your computer using the code "123."
This magazine is in new condition. It has a very slight fold mark on the back cover. Due to the thickness of the page with the video screen and speaker, there is a small wrinkle on the top of that page. It has absolutly no affect on the operation of the interactive video. Everything works perfectly. There are sixteen pages that have been lightly to moderately marked with a blue highlighter. None of these highlight marks appear on the video advertisement pages. One page (79/80) is missing from the magazine. The clear "peel and play" plastic cover over the screen is missing. The screen is NOT damaged. It does have a mailing label which is printed directly on the front cover, and not a glued on label. I have carefully covered over the name and address only, with a thin black marker as you can see in my photo.
I will put the magazine into a crystal clear, acid free, polypropylene sleeve with an acid free backboard which will protect it during shipping and can be used for archival safe long term storage. It will be packed carefully in a protected mailer (please check my feedback) and sent domestically to you by U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail, so you can buy with confidence. I will pay the postage for the United States, and will provide insurance coverage, up to the full purchase price. For international buyers I will calculate the mailing fee, and I will be happy to provide full insurance coverage myself.
