The roots of Montres Epos SA go back to 1925 and James Aubert, master of the art of watchmaking and an engineer at the early Landeron and Valjoux factories. Mr Aubert was instrumental in pioneering early chronographs and the minute repeater. Jean Fillon, an apprentice for many years and now son-in law of James Aubert is the chief engineer at Epos to this day. It's current incarnation was formed by Peter Hofer in the early 1980's. Peter is a 40 year veteran of the Swiss mechanical watchmaking industry. His passion for mechanical watches and complications lead him to start manufacturing in the prestigous watchmaking city of Biel.
Dedicated to making only high grade mechanical watches, the designs range from classic to innovative. All Epos movements are assembled and adjusted in the company workshop. Montres Epos SA has continued to work closely with the many artisans and engineers from the Vallée de Joux, an area of Switzerland famous for watchmaking since 1741. The current owner, Ursula Forster, is a 30-year veteran of the Swiss mechanical watch industry. Her family, husband Tamdi, an experianced watchmaker, their son and daughter are very involved in the business as well, constantly striving to manufacture the highest grade Swiss mechanical timepieces.
The featured watch is an Automatic Epos Emotion Chronograph in Stainless Steel measuring 39mm in diameter, 13mm thick. It is powered by a Self-Winding Automatic Movement (Swiss/ETA 2892-2 4500 DD), beautifully decorated with 49 jewels. It is a 3-Register Chronograph with a Silver Dial with a Large Date Display Window at 12 o'clock, Silver-Toned Hour Markers, and Hour, Minute, and Sweep Seconds hands at Center. The watch also has a Coin Edge Bezel, Tear-Drop Shaped Pushers, Sapphire Crystal and Screw-On Exhibition Caseback. Water Resistant to 50 meters.
Personal Note--The is the perfect watch for everyday. It is a great size, and the colors are soft and easy to wear with everything, no matter how casual or professional. It is also simple to operate and easy to read. A great Swiss automatic timepiece!!

Let me start by saying, I have looked over Ebay, and boy, there sure are a lot of suspicious looking watches and suspicious looking sellers out there! That being said, many people are apprehensive to buy an expensive item on Ebay and, on the Internet in general. What if something goes wrong? PLEASE be careful & know who you are buying from.
