Essiac tea, Cancer fighter, Liver detox, 3 pounds

Preparation of Essiac tea:

Store in glass container

Measure out 1 cup of Essiac dry mix formula. 

Put two gallons of distilled water into stainless steel pot. (May use a couple of cups more as some will be lost during boiling.

 Bring the water to a hard or brisk boiling point with lid on.

Put Essiac into boiling water, stir and boil hard for 10 minutes. Turn stove off and scrape down sides of pot and stir thoroughly with a wooden or stainless steel spoon only.  Replace lid.

Allow to sit and cool slowly for10- 12 hours.  Return pot to stove and reheat to steaming hot but do not let boil.  

Turn off heat and let herbs settle for a few minutes.  Strain the mixture using a stainless steel strainer  (I use a tea strainer)into a second stainless pot.  Clean the first pot thoroughly then strain contents a second time back into the first pot.

Bottle the tea immediately into dark amber glass bottles when cool.  Store tea in the refrigerator. Dark amber bottles may be purchased from just about any drug store pharmacist.  The point is to avoid heat and light. Can also cover with plastic wrap and cover with towel if you don't have this.

Directions for the oral use of Essiac:

Heat two ounces (4 tablespoons) of distilled water on stove, and mix it with one ounce of Essiac tea taken directly from the refrigerator. Sip on an empty stomach.

Essiac should be taken at bed time on an empty stomach at least two hours after eating. It can be taken in the morning. Don't eat for at least two hours after taking the Essiac.  Keep the Essiac refrigerated at all times. Shake well each time before pouring.
