Authentic African Ethiopian Head Rest

Naturally gorgeous patina on this authentic African headrest. This wooden "pillow" was used to support the head during sleep and in some instances to preserve a hairstyle. In Ethiopia, the headrests come in several forms and relate to abstract works. this one is very dark wood and has some amazing intricate design work on all sides. I hope it's quality is visible in the photos. You will not be disappointed in this piece.
