ECW reflects Swiss watchmaking know-how with a particular Italian style. But, more than just a style, it is a way of life.
Designed for men and women who do not accept compromise, ECW's watches are only made in precious and noble materials such as steel, titanium, and red and white gold.
The dials are available in a range of different colors and finishes. The elegance of the bracelets in smooth or crocodile leather in natural colors once more reflects the value of the brand: sophistication, sober elegance, and exquisite attention to detail. And the "Ardillon" clasp provides a final touch to each watch, the impeccable finish to an exceptional timepiece.
This is a relatively young watch company, European Company Watch started only in year 2001 by Roberto Carlotti. This is a Italian man who has been working within the watchmaking industry since the 1970s.
He spent a hefty 10 years working closely with Franck Muller before starting the company. While collaborating with Franck Muller, he was able to create visionary designs and inspiration for his own timepieces. ECW is a part of the Franck Muller Group.
One of the most interesting things about this watch is the fact that the case is fabricated from a solid block of steel, and is accessible through only one screw on the back of the Case.
The featured watch is a European Company Watch Legionnaire F40 Rosso Italiano. It is housed in a gorgeous Polished Stainless Steel Tonneau-Shaped Case (measuring 45.5 x 52.5 mm) with a very interesting platform and base. It has a very impressive look about it. It is an Automatic Chronograph. The Dial is Red with Central Silver-toned Luminous Hour and Minute Hands, Silver-toned Sweep Center Seconds Hand, Seconds Hands in Luminescent Silver with Silver Arabic Numerals and Baton Hour Markers. Steel Screw-Down and Pushers as well as 3 Subdials for the Chronograph at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. It is Water Resistant to 100 meters. The watch is on a Hand-Sewn Brown Calfskin Leather Strap with White Contrast Stitching and a Stainless Steel ECW Tang Buckle.
Personal Note--This watch has a very strong presence when you see it in person, especially when you are holding it in your hand. The red dial is outstanding!! It is very easy to read and operate and is styled after the bold Italian Navy watches, which we love!! A great opportunity to purchase a watch from the Franck Muller legacy without the high price!

That being said, many people are apprehensive to buy an expensive item on Ebay and, on the Internet in general. What if something goes wrong? PLEASE be careful & know who you are buying from.
