Up
for auction is a vinyl copy of Everything But the Girl's 1985 album,
"Love Not Money," on Sire Records. Sire
Records Cat.# 25274-1. This is an original copy from 1985, not a
reissue. Auction includes original inner sleeve with lyric sheet.
Cover is in VG+
condition. Some shelfwear & ringwear. No seam splitting or staining. Vinyl is EX+ condition.
Has a few surface markings that keep it from NM condition. No skipping on either of my turntables. Still very glossy.
The
All-Music Guide has this to say: On their second album, Everything But the Girl took a more contemporary pop approach while retaining the spareness of their debut. They also upped the ante in their songwriting, tackling a range of issues from the Irish troubles to the troubles of movie star Frances Farmer, with lots of criticism of the stratification and sexism of the current social and economic system thrown in. Tracey Thorn's careworn voice proved an excellent vehicle for such essentially pessimistic sentiments, and even if Love Not Money made for a dour listening experience, it was nevertheless compelling.
I will gladly ship internationally and/or combine shipping for multiple items. Just ask for a quote before the auction ends. No returns, no refunds. Payment must be received within 5 days of winning bid. Check out my other auctions. I'll be putting up quite a few new record selections for auction this week.
