Janet Kruskamp

Working in oil and/or egg tempera, Janet
Kruskamp's paintings are executed in a style that
may be described as Romantic Realism. Her
studies reveal the underlying beauty of common
objects and places. Janet strives to reveal both
truth and beauty in her reflections of nostalgic
and contemporary America.

Janet uses family heirlooms such as a wood
burning stove, turn of the century china and
hand sewn pot holders and aprons to recreate
images of yesterday. While Janet is passionate
about nostalgic Americana she is in high
demand by publishers and merchandise
manufacturers for her trendy images that give
her a much diversified portfolio.

Janet’s paintings have earned many awards in
national and international competitions and
exhibitions. She has also been honored for her
contributions and achievements in the arts.
