Old Authentic 2,5" = F (dotted) = fishing glass float/buoy

 

    Item description:

   This forest green glass float is an old authentic working buoy that was found in Kleppe, not far from Stavanger, Norway. It is marked as embossed dotted 'F' on its seal. This float was made at Flesland Glassworks in 1937-1951. As far as we know dotted markings on floats were used before the whole embossed letter ones, so this float is one of the earliest works of the Flesland Glassworks. The size of the float is approx. 2,5 inches (7 cm) in diameter. It has some bubbles inside. There are no damages on it, no scuffs but there might be a couple of tiny scratches on it due to its use at sea. In general it is of a perfect condition!

This glass buoy will make a nice addition to your collection and a maritime decoration!
