If the fountain pen couldn't work well for the first time, please fill it with warm water for a wash and then fill it with ink. And push its nib on your nail slightly.
The pen has converter, so you could use bottled ink. You need only screw the converter, then the ink will be filled.

Also you could pull out the converter and use ink cartridges (international standard ones in 4mm).
