We at Anderson Originals are proud to offer the "Fancy Kitty" brand fiber drum carders. We have been avid spinners and crocheters for many years, and all our products are hand crafted by us, in the good old USA.

Our kitten drum carders feature fully adjustable drums mounted on steel axles with sealed steel ball bearings on both the swift and licker-in for silky smooth lubrication free operation. They have three eights aluminum handles for flex free turning strength. They are built using modern methods, quality parts, and hand crafted care. The drums come pre-adjusted for optimum performance; however, can be easily readjusted for your varying requirements.   

Auxiliary swifts' with different TPI cloth are also available.

It has a 4 to 1 drive ratio.

It features a gearhead motor with goobs of torque for great slow speed operation, as well as a 50 round per minuet top speed.

It has speed control and is reversable with the main drive being tooth belt for the strengh of chain drive, but with quite operation and no maintenance.

It features a polybelt drive, that does not slip, for smooth operation.

It has one half-inch long carder wire giving you the ability to produce thick bats.

It is 15 inches in length; 15 inches wide, and weighs approximately 10 pounds.

They are made from 100% North American red oak hardwood. The slide out feed tray is made from one quarter inch hardwood veneer.

They are sanded and unfinished. They may be finished simply with a tung or other oil finish or left unfinished. We recommend some type of finish be applied if you are located in a very dry climate to protect the wood from splitting.

It is dressed with solid brass strips and all adjustment screws are stainless steel, for a long and rust free life.

Just like its' big brother "The Fancy Kitty Drum Carder", it has an 8.5 inch wide drum that will produce bats 22 inches long.

This carder has 72 tpi cloth on the licker-in and 90 tpi cloth on the swift and will make a very good all around carder with the ability to work with both course, meduim, and some fine fibers.

Rubber nonskid feet, one hold-down clamp (that is installed with a stainless steel screw, set in a brass insert), are included with the carder.

It will arrive fully assembled and ready to use at no extra charge.
