The Truth Isn't Out There: It's Here on this CD! SECRET FBI Files on Dillinger, Capone, Luciano, Siegel, Baby Face Nelson, Machine Gun Kelly -- and More!
NOTE: Gotta be honest, here. Under the Freedom of Information Act, you can also download these files yourself from the FBI Web site, but they amount to hundreds of megabytes. I have everything collected and organized here for you on one CD, saving you hours of download time for the many, many files included. I think you'll enjoy the work I put into compiling this collection. Check out my other CDs on The Mafia, MUFON, UFOS, Project Blue Book and The Radical 60s with John Lennon, Kent State University, Abbie Hoffman, and more. Your CD will contain the following FBI files: THE GANGSTER ERA
Records concerning a 1934 robbery of the Peoples Savings Bank, Grand Haven, Michigan, containing only limited information about Baby Face Nelson. FBI records concerning George Kelly consist of the investigation involving the kidnapping of Charles F. Urschel, a wealthy oil man, on July 22, 1933. George Kelly, his wife Kathryn, and 19 others were convicted in this case. Kelly is credited with coining the phrase "G-men." When arrested in Memphis on September 26, 1933, Kelly was reported to have thrown his hands in the air and cried "Don't shoot, G-men!" as he surrendered to FBI Agents. Summary of the crime spree of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow in the early 1930's which ended when they were killed by police officers on May 23, 1934. Al Capone was a notorious gangster who conducted his illegal enterprises in Chicago, Illinois, during the 1920's. In 1929, the FBI was ordered by the Attorney General to investigate the legitimacy of an affidavit that petitioned for a postponement of Capone's appearance in response to a Federal Grand Jury subpoena. The investigation established that facts within the affidavit were indeed false. Capone was tried and convicted of contempt of court on February 25, 1931. When Capone was convicted for income tax evasion, the Judge ruled that the sentence for contempt of court should be served concurrently with the tax evasion sentence. Summary of events leading up to the death of John Dillinger on July 22, 1934, when he grabbed for his gun and was shot by FBI Special Agents as he left the Biograph Theater in Chicago, Illinois. The infamous gangster, Charles Luciano was nicknamed "Lucky" after surviving a gangland "ride" in 1929. He had an extensive arrest record and in June, 1936, Luciano was convicted on 62 of 90 counts of compulsory prostitution and was sentenced to 30 to 50 years imprisonment. He was paroled in 1946 on the condition that he would be deported to his native Italy. During the remainder of his life, the FBI received allegations from time to time that Luciano continued to direct criminal activities in the United States from his place of exile. He suffered a fatal heart attack in Italy in 1962. Charles Arthur Floyd, alias "Pretty Boy", participated in the Kansas City Massacre in 1933 when four law enforcement officers, including one FBI Special Agent, were killed. Floyd was killed in 1934 by FBI Agents and local police officers while resisting arrest. This file reports information about the murder of seven members of the Bugs Moran gang on February 14, 1929. The investigation was conducted by the Chicago Police Department, not the FBI, because at that time there was no violation of Federal law that would allow the FBI to investigate. Kate "Ma" Barker and her sons, Herman, Lloyd, Arthur, and Fred teamed up with Alvin Karpis (whom Fred met in the penitentiary) and several other criminals. This summary gives an account of their criminal careers, including the 1934 kidnaping of Edward G. Bremer, a wealthy Minnesota businessman. The FBI investigated the infamous gangster for racketeering, murder, and numerous other criminal activities. Siegel was murdered on June 19, 1947 in Los Angeles, California, at the mansion of Virginia Hill, his mistress. The FBI determined that Bugsy Siegel was responsible, either directly or indirectly, for at least thirty murders.
