Winning buyer will receive the rookie card described in the item title, an AUTO autographed rookie card of Mariners start pitcher, FELIX HERNANDEZ. What makes this Just Rookies Silver auto highly collectible? This auto was issued prior to the 2004 season, making it the earliest certified auto of Hernandez (issued way before the Bowman autos)!! Only 375 of these "silver" versions were signed by Hernandez. There is a counterfeit proof hologram on the back of each card...on the hologram itself is the serial number (out of 375). The silver foil of this card also makes it nearly impossible to find one of these autos in MINT condition as the foil chipped very easily...so very few of these is in MINT condition which this one is!! Hernandez had his break through season in 2009!! Staying healthy this year, King Felix made the All-Star team, and had 19 Wins (tied for FIRST), 217 Ks in (4th), 238.2 innings pitched (signs of durability - 3rd in the AL) and a 2.49 ERA (2nd only to Zack Greinke's 2.16). People forget how young Hernandez is...he's only 23 years old in 2009! Hernandez lost 4 games in 2009 when he only gave up one earn run!! With better run support in 2010, the sky's the limit!! Better lock in on some Hernandez rookie cards now before he wins the Cy Young and possibly carry the Mariners into post season play. This card has been professionally graded a BCCG 10 (which is MINT or better!!), by Beckett Collectors Club Grading, a service of Beckett Grading Services, the top grading service in the sports card industry.
