Being an artist is my second career, but first love. I left Calgary at the age of 22 to join the military. That seemed to be a drastic ticket out of Calgary, since, well, Calgary really isn't all that bad. I spent 12 years in the Canadian Air Force and living across Canada, including serving a peacekeeping mission in the Middle East, in the Sinai Desert. After my retirement in 1997, I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Great Distinction in 2001 from the University of Lethbridge with a focus on Studio Arts.

In 2002, in competition with 78 other candidates, I was chosen to be one of 6 resident artists in the new Rotary Centre for the Arts. Throughout my time in Kelowna, I have trained life drawing models for Instructional and non instructional classes and I started the Life Drawing sessions at the RCA, which progressed to a non profit society. I am a Founder/Founding Director - Livessence Society of Figurative Artists and Models, Kelowna, BC. Most recently, I am an organizer of the Okanagan Erotic Art Show and was on CBC radio's North by Northwest. Google each!

Currently I am a Director, Kelowna Museums Society, Kelowna, BC and the Director for the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan Artscape Program as well as a core member of the Okanagan Arts Awards Planning Committee with the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan, Kelowna BC. I am represented by three galleries so far, please see my about me page.

I am very ambitious. :) My work is in public and private collections across Canada, the US and Europe. I am a contributing artist in Harold Stone's book "Exploring Life Drawing", and I am also an author of an article on Art Donations published in the Okanagan Arts magazine Fall 2007. I've been commissioned to do a few wine labels for an Okanagan winery, and also asked to author the introduction for the City of Kelowna's upcoming Okanagan Mountain Park Fire Monograph. Upwards and onwards.... As Wayne Gretzky said, "You miss 100% of the shots you never take", and Oprah, "Opportunity favours the prepared."

Payments: Paypal, international money order (if outside of Canada), certified cheque / check, direct wire transfer, bank to bank. Payment is due within 7 days of the close of the auction. I do accept payment plans. Once the item is fully paid, I will ship.

Fees: PST for residents of BC, or if shipping to an address within BC. GST for residents of Canada, or if shipping to an address within Canada.

Shipping: I will ship all over the world. I prefer to ship via air, as the less time in transit, the less chance for damage along the way. I do package very securely. Remember these are quality works of art and will be packaged and treated with the utmost care. Original art is covered by the NAFTA agreement between the US and Canada. Outside of North America, check with your local customs information office to see what charges may be applicable (if any) for your area. Shipping charges are fixed, and where Xpress is indicated, include insurance, handling and tracking. Once the item is shipped, I send an email with ETA and tracking information so that you may see where your package is.

Delivery: I ship within three days of payment clearing, regardless of what day that is. I do my best to ship the same or next day. Delivery, depending on location can be 3 days to 3 weeks. Tracking and insurance are included in shipping costs. NAFTA covers artwork between Canada and the USA, so there *should be no customs or duty costs*.

Refunds & Returns: Refunds are provided if my description does not match what the buyer receives. Artwork is represented to the best of my ability. Refunds are provided if the buyer does not like what he/she receives. It is important to me that the buyer be happy with their purchase. The cost of the artwork will be refunded if returned in the EXACT same condition as when sent. Seven days should be sufficient to determine if the purchase is acceptable, so please indicate this within seven days of receipt (as provided by the tracking information). Items will be shipped back in the same manner and time frame as was shipped to the buyer. The buyer pays these costs.
