This is a USA-Made 1996 Fender Eric Clapton Artist Signature Strat, which differs significantly from the one being produced today. The Fender Artist Series Eric Clapton Stratocaster is a replica of Clapton's famous "Blackie" guitar (which was a 1956 Strat w/'57 neck). This guitar features a "soft V-shape" neck, 9-1/2"-radius fretboard and blocked original vintage synchronized tremolo bridge. Three Gold Lace Sensors combine with the active MDX mid-boost circuit (designed by James Demeter and John Carruthers) give you a huge variety of tones, from classic single-coil strat to high-output, "compressed" humbucker tones, all with less noise than traditional single coils. This guitar is used but is in excellent condition: it is near mint with just very light finish scratches and the guitar has no dings, dents or cracks in the wood. There is one thin, surface level finish crack by the heel (nearly all bolt-on guitars develop this over time) and some wear to the Fender decal/logo on the headstock. Others than these minor cosmetic issus, the guitar is like new.

The neck and frets are in excellent condition (just light play wear, no grooves or flat spots that affect playability). The action has been set low and the guitar plays beautifully. The original Fender tweed hardshell case and the original tremelo bar will be included (I do not have any of the other "case candy"....manual/specs are available on the Fender website). The guitar will be very well packed and fully insured.
