Thanks for stopping by & bidding!! Please check out my other auctions for more GORGEOUS carnival glass; e-mail me if you'd like to see any additional pictures I may have or if you have any questions. I always combine shipping when it's safe to do so to save on shipping. All photos shown are taken outside in natural lighting although I may throw one or two from inside in order to show the various lighting conditions, so you'll always know you're seeing is as close to what I'm seeing, although photographs just don't show the beauty these items are in person!! I take photos from as many angles as possible, so you can see it just as if you were holding it in your hand and turning it; sometimes the photo's may darken or lighten the appearance of the glass; you just have to take that into consideration, as that's the camera. NONE of the photos are doctored; for one, I don't know how, and for another, I absolutely will NOT try & make the item look different than what it is. I've been burned as many of you have as well by sellers that do that, and I think it's reprehensible. What you see in the photo is what it will look like when you receive it, again taking into consideration photos may lighten or darken a subject. I work hard to clean and restore this glass, and the majority of my pieces are exceptional; many have written me thinking the glass is contemporary because it looks so spectacular; trust me when I tell you it's old vintage glass that fortunately was able to be cleaned, restored and looks now almost like it did when it left the factory!! If I don't know it's age, or manufacturer, I'll note that. Some of the pictures may show glare from the sun, or little rain dots when I'm an idiot trying to take the pics outside when it's sprinkling or snowing. My description of an item such as gorgeous or stunning, OR COLOR is MY OPINION ONLY; I put in enough photos for you to see the piece as it is so if it doesn't look gorgeous or stunning to you, then I personally wouldn't bid on it. If you question anything on the item please e-mail me and I'll identify it for you. Thanks again for stopping by!!!
Don't you hate "Reserve" auctions? Me too!! However, there are times I must put up a Reserve as I may be selling on consignment, or I need to at least cover my investment, but I assure you, the Reserve will be no where near what the piece is worth. Mostly I sell without Reserves, which to me is much more fun because it makes it a true auction. I see items in Ebay with huge reserves or huge amounts to start with, and it just amazes me. We of course all want to think our glass is the best and should bring the highest dollar (well, at least I know MINE is!! GRIN) but in my case, I love this glass so much, I clean it up and re-sell it either hoping I'll at least get my investment, or at minimum, I put a reserve up for a SMALL amount over my investment, so I'm at least not left out holding the bag, and can continue to bring you SUPERIOR pieces at reasonable prices.
On all glass items: I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON GLASS. I provide every piece of information that I do know when describing and identifying the item. I know most patterns, most colors and what chips, cracks, flecks/flea bites are; I've been told a "bruise" is when there's an internal chip inside the glass that hasn't gone to the outside, so when I say "bruise", that's what it is; I've been told a "heat check" is an internal crack done in the manufacturing, which is NOT damage but rather a manufacturing defect, so when I say "heat check", that's what it is. I usually have many more pictures and can take more if you'd like so e-mail me at bjewing@hotmail.com and I'll be happy to send you additional pictures, especially of any damage or what may be manufacturing flaws; please don't wait until 24 hours before the auction ends, as I may not be able to send them in that short time period or they may be wrapped at that time. All old glass, especially old carnival glass, has some sort of straw marks, stretch marks, scratches, roughness around the seams and rim and feet, extra glass, crimp marks, bubbles in the glass, burst bubbles, pinheads, etc. If you're looking for perfect glass, you need to collect contemporary glass; this old glass just isn't "perfect". I will attempt to describe large bubbles or straw marks & crimp marks, burst bubbles, excessive iridescence loss, peeling, etc., but they are part of the normal manufacturing of the glass, and are not "damage", so if I miss a bubble, straw mark, scratches, roughness around the feet, seams or rim, tiny burst bubbles, pinheads, crimp mark, stretch mark, etc., PLEASE REMEMBER THESE ITEMS ARE NORMAL ON GLASS THIS OLD, AND CONSIDER THERE WILL BE SOME OF THOSE ON EVERY GLASS ITEM. THERE ARE PLENTY OF PHOTOS SO YOU CAN DETERMINE THE ITEM PATTERN AND COLOR, AS AGAIN I'M NOT AN EXPERT; I STATE WHAT I BELIEVE THE COLOR OR PATTERN IS, BUT IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO REVIEW THESE PHOTOS AND MAKE YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS AS TO COLOR OR PATTERN. IF THERE'S SOMETHING IN THE DESCRIPTION THAT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND OR YOU WANT FURTHER CLARIFICATION ON, MAKE SURE TO ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS; ONCE THE ITEM IS SOLD, IT'S TOO LATE. I will also have enough photographs of each item so that it can't be claimed there's damage on the item when received, when I have photographs showing there was no damage. Please e-mail me regarding any questions you have; again I also have additional photographs and can take additional photographs that I would be happy to e-mail you, if you are interested. ALL SALES ARE FINAL, unless the item has substantial damage that is not as described (I don't consider missing a teeny pinhead or pinheads/flea bites, little scratch(es) as damage, nor any manufacturing issues such as strawmarks, bubbles, crimp marks, etc., so any of those will not qualify as substantial damage). Please don't bid unless you are serious about this item and again, if you have any concerns whatsoever, PLEASE E-MAIL ME.
If you just don't like the piece at all, I will agree to take the item back and refund your purchase less shipping, insurance, handling & selling fees, and a 25% re-stocking fee; I don't do this for a living, so returns cause quite a lot more work for me. I do not doctor any photographs, so what you see is what you will get. I do take photographs of the glass in various lighting conditions so you can see it as it is seen in those various lighting conditions. The majority of my photos, if not all, are taken outside in natural lighting with no flash; like anyone else, I want to make the sale, but not by deceiving my buyers as to what the glass looks like. I also take photos all around the glass, not just the "pretty part" if the iridescence or color isn't quite even. The hard part of selling on Ebay is not being able to see the item in person, so pictures are the next best thing and I try to show it as it would be seen by you in varying angles if you were holding it yourself.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:
I AM NOW OFFERING FIRST CLASS INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING; IT’S CHEAPER THAN PRIORITY INTERNATIONAL BUT THE DOWN SIDE IS I CAN’T TRACK IT, AND IF YOU, AS THE INTERNATIONAL BUYER, CHOOSE THIS METHOD OF SHIPPING, YOU WILL HAVE TO STATE IN WRITING THAT YOU WILL NOT HOLD ME RESPONSIBLE IF THE ITEM(S) ARE LOST IN TRANSIT, AS AGAIN I CAN’T TRACK IT. IT ALSO TAKES 4 TO 6 WEEKS TO RECEIVE THE PACKAGE, AS OPPOSED TO PRIORITY INTERNATIONAL, WHICH TAKES 4 TO 6 DAYS.
