(Buyer Identity kept private)
What does buyer ID kept private mean?
This means that your identity is not shown at any time on eBay so
no one knows who purchased this item except for you, as the buyer, and us, as
the seller. Most customers would prefer to keep this transaction totally private
so we will NOT leave feedback. Equally we do not expect you to leave us feedback
and are happy about this. If you want us to leave you feedback we are happy to do so - just
let us know you want us to leave feedback by sending us a message via eBay when
you have received your goods and are happy with your
purchase.
What do I actually receive?
Firstly the details about each item are given further down the page but in summary you will receive:-
-
1 Julia re-useable ovulation tester with a 1 year warranty and
including the battery.
- 20
ovulation/pregnancy tests (any combination you wish and they will be
ultra early tests - 10mIU for the pregnancy tests and 20mIU for the
ovulation tests)
- A FREE Fertilityplan chart (this will be emailed to your PayPal email address when you pay)
What do you mean by any combination of tests?
We
understand that there are numerous factors that affect the menstrual
cycle and the chances of conceiving including important considerations
such as irregular cycles, PCOS, hormone treatments, a lazy ovary,
previous miscarriages, breast feeding etc. This
fertilitypack of 20 tests is designed to
enable you to select the number, the type and the sensitivity of the
tests you need to ensure that the pack you receive fits your particular
situation perfectly.
How do I choose which combination to have?
Very
simple
-
just buy the item and go through to check-out in the normal
way. When you check out there is the opportunity then to leave a
message to seller – simply click on the “Add message” icon and this
will open a box allowing you to leave us the message about the
combination that you would like. Alternatively you can always send us a
message via eBay. Simply tell us the combination you want - 20 pregnancy tests, or 20 ovulation tests, or 5 pregnancy tests + 15
ovulation tests etc. The only condition is that the combination cannot
be more than 20. If you buy multiple lots then you can do the same, so
if you buy 2 lots then that is 40 tests in any combination you like.
What if I forget to tell you the combination of tests I would like?
If
you
forget to tell us the combination you want then we will send you 10
ovulation tests and 10 pregnancy tests. So if this is not what you want
then make sure you tell us what you do want before we despatch your order.
What about selecting the sensitivity of the tests?
Basically for the majority of women (around 90%) we recommend and supply, as standard, 20mIU High sensitivity ovulation tests and 10mIU High sensitivity pregnancy tests. This is what we will send you if you do not specify anything different.
How do I know what is best for me and what does this mIU stuff all mean anyway?
In
its simplest terms the numbers (e.g. 25mIU) are just a standardized
measurement system that detects the pregnancy or ovulation hormones
present in your body. The lower the number the higher the sensitivity.
Our Pregnancy Tests (2 sensitivities)
10mIU - High sensitivity
25mIU - Normal sensitivity
Essentially the higher the
sensitivity the earlier you will detect your pregnancy. We have given
more detailed information about what this all means and why this is
important lower down the page.
Our Ovulation Tests (3 sensitivities)
20mIU – High sensitivity
30mIU – Medium Sensitivity
40mIU – Low Sensitivity
As
with pregnancy tests the higher the sensitivity the earlier you will
detect if you are about to ovulate. If you have regular cycles and no
known problems then the High 20mIU sensitivity are the ones you should have and the ones we recommend.
We have given more detailed information further down the page about why
you may need different sensitivity ovulation tests and how to discover
if you do.
Why are you the first and only Company to offer different sensitivities of pregnancy and ovulation tests?
We
care about our customers and we "listen" to what they tell us. When it
comes to pregnancy you want to know you are pregnant as soon as
possible so we supply, as standard, the highest sensitivity tests
available at 10mIU but still offer the 'normal' 25mIU tests if you want
these ones instead. Most doctors still use the less sensitive 25mIU
tests but many hospitals now use our Ultra Early 10mIU tests as it is
vital that before giving any emergency treatment it is known whether
the woman is pregnant.
When
it comes to ovulation tests we discovered that a standard test simply
wasn't right for a significant number of women and following a number
of trials with many of you who were having problems we now offer 3
different sensitivities for our ovulation tests - our special thanks to
Claire, Emma, Lisa, Sarah and Donna (you know who you are) for being
our guinea pigs, so to speak, and help us get it right for you and many
other women like you :)
How good are these tests?
We
now sell literally millions of these tests in the UK and throughout the
world - they are made specifically for us and comply with CE (European
Community) and FDA (United States) rules and regulations and every pack
has the approval details printed on them. We also sell them to some of
the largest Charity organisations such as the British Pregnancy
Advisory Service (BPAS)
and to large parts of the UK National Health Service (NHS). The tests
we supply to the NHS are identical to the ones we sell to you and every
batch is checked religiously for quality and accuracy - they are more
than 99% accurate. As for the expiry dates, they will always be at
least 15 months away and more often nearly 2 years (which is the legal
maximum).
How soon will you ship, how long will it take, is it insured and is the packaging discreet?
Provided
your order and payment is received before 3.30pm UK time on a business
day it will go out the same day by 1st class Royal Mail (or Priority Air Mail if
you have an overseas address) to your registered PayPal address - so please make sure your address is correct and up to date when placing your order. All packages have no indication of
content, are marked "Private and Confidential" and the contents are not
visible or identifiable from the outside of the package. All shipments
to all destinations are fully insured and covered in the event of loss
or damage - though we will require you to follow some simple steps in
order to have a refund or re-send in those rare occurrences when your
shipment is lost or damaged.
All
overseas shipments are via Priority Air Mail and usually arrive in 2-4 days for
Europe, 3-7 days for North America and 5-10 days to Australasia. All
packages are correctly labelled including completed Customs
documentation and our specific FDA Import Licence number for all North
American shipments. We
are legally bound to fill out the customs declarations correctly and
honestly so please do not ask us to mark the package as "gift". We are
also not responsible for any customs charges that might apply.
As already mentioned, all shipments
to all destinations are fully insured and covered in the event of loss
or damage, but they will not
have a tracking number as it is relatively expensive - an extra £5 -
and so it is not economical for low value items such as these. If you
would like us to send your order with tracking then please contact us
for a revised invoice.
What if I need these tests urgently to start testing?
Royal Mail aim to deliver all UK mail within 24-48 hours but due to
the high volume of mail that they handle it is not always possible.
They estimate that around 90% of all 1st class post will arrive the
next day with the majority of the other 10% arriving the day after.
Unfortunately, some post takes longer than that but only around 0.02%
of mail never gets delivered. But if you cannot afford to take the
chance of the tests not arriving within 1-2 days then we offer a "Get
it Fast" option which guarantees next working day delivery.
Postage charge?
If you
click on 'see all details' which is located in the postage section
at the top of the listing and put in the quantity that you want and
your location, then eBay will calculate the postage charge for you. If
you are also interested in any of our other products then we may be
able to offer a postage discount - please contact us via eBay messaging
telling us the items that you want and we can give you a total price :)
How does this saliva tester work?
It could not be simpler - just add a little saliva to the top of the unit and observe through the included microscope the structure of the saliva. When you are ovulating the structure of the saliva will change and be fern-like as shown in image B. This form of testing can sometimes be difficult to interpret and can give a positive result over a longer period than ovulation tests but used together with ovulation tests, temperature and other body changes noted on the Fertilityplan chart (see what we mean below) will ensure you don't miss that critical and very short time when the egg is released from the ovary.
How exactly do you measure a menstrual cycle?Very
simply a menstrual cycle defined as starting on the day of first bleed
to the start of your next bleed. So CD12 would be Cycle Day 12 of your
cycle and would be 12 days after you first started your period.
What do you mean by a Fertilityplan chart?
Basically if you are trying
for a baby then you need to do a few very simple things to try and ensure you get
pregnant as soon as possible. The Fertilityplan chart just really summarises what you notice
about your body during your cycle and when these changes are charted and
combined with other help such as ovulation tests and temperature changes (we sell both centigrade and fahrenheit basal ovulation thermometers too - just click on the link at the top of the page) you
can more easily pinpoint when you are ovulating. We provide a chart you can print out and use for free - see below.
Why should I keep a Fertilityplan chart? There is only a very small
window within each cycle when your body releases an egg. This window, which may
last only 36 hours, is the only time you can get pregnant during that cycle so
knowing how to pinpoint the timing when the egg is released can be very
important.
What other bodily changes should I look for to know when I am about to ovulate?
The
consistency of cervical mucus changes throughout the menstrual cycle.
Usually after you finish your bleed you will have 3/4 days when you
have dry days. The wetness then increases daily usually lasting about 9
days at which point the mucus will become plentiful, slippery, clear
and stretchy. The best comparison is that it is like egg whites and at
this point it is a good sign that ovulation will occur in the next
couple of days. After ovulation occurs the mucus will again become more
sticky less stretchy and then dryer again.
How do I get this Fertilityplan chart and what does it look like?
Very
simply we will email one to you free of charge when you purchase this item from us. You can then use it on your computer or simply print it out and use it every
month. When completed it will look something like this for a typical
month:-
The
red line indicates the normal basal body temperature for a woman before
getting up - about 0.8 degrees Fahrenheit below normal body temperature
during the day. The dots represent the daily recorded temperature and
you just connect the dots each day with a line to join them. You can tell from the chart above that the ovulation tests and mucus changes predicted ovulation would occur around day 14 and the temperature change confirmed this (basal body temperature rises after ovulation and stays high until you start your period again). Other
information is added such as the results of the saliva test, days when intercourse took place,
etc. Remember that you will menstruate (start your bleed) 14 days after ovulation so you can also use the chart to accurately decide when you can first try a pregnancy test to see if you were successful.
What
is ovulation and the process of conception?
As the saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words
so we have included a short video (don’t forget to turn the sound up) which we
feel gives an excellent short description of ovulation, including the whole
process of conception (fertilisation and implantation) from the release of the
egg from the ovary right up to the implantation of the fertilised egg at which
point pregnancy has occurred, HCG is produced and the embryo starts to grow. If you have problems viewing the video or have a slow internet connection wait until the video is fully buffered before playing the entire video - i.e press pause once the video starts loading and wait until loading is complete before pressing play.
