FINE ANTIQUE FRENCH EMPIRE NEOCLASSICAL PICTURE FRAME
I'm fighting with myself here, listing these wonderful antique French Empire styled and period frames since these are my own collection into which my own family photos go. The Neoclassical ones you see here, so associated with Napoelon's Empire aesthetic, are my personal favorites. And the ones with wood mats, even higher on my list of favs. So, with reluctance, I'm going to list a few here, one at a time, and rather hope you won't even want them so I can continue to fill my home with them. (smile).
Frame 5 (all are sold separately): 4.5" diameter round frame. A nice large single aperture frame with great shape and appeal, this one will hold a 2.5" round image so beautifully, no matter who's in the photo, it will become art! The gilt bronze outer frame and mat trim is typical of the era (Napoleon III, c. 1850-70) as are the ormolu classical acanthus and shell forms that adorn the frame. A fine grain to the wood mat, it exudes opulence! Brass backing with recessed door, easy access to insert your photos. Hinged bronze easel stand as shown in our photos. Great to group on a tabletop as I prefer to do. None finer!
Very good to excellent condition for age and style. Beautiful from front and aesthetically pleasing even from the backside so you can use it on sofa tables or other spots where front and back might be in view. The glass fully intact, no chips or breaks, no damage - and it's all is ready for your own photos and display. Be sure to look for a fine grouping of these frames among our listings. Each sold separately, and you can build your own treasured tabletop full in a variety of sizes.

Our shipping days are Tuesday and Friday, paid items will be shipped on the first shipping day after payment is recieved (except when special circumstances exist). We charge only actual expense of shipment/insurance, except in the case of larger items which must have special wood crates built.
