A large Majolica pottery tile decorated with the hand painted scene of a Lion and Castle. The tile is entirely hand painted in shades of yellow ochre and cobalt blue. The tile displays well, but does have quite a lot of crazing and there are some holes on the thick glaze. The tile is quite large and measures approx 12-3/4" long by 6-1/4" high and about an 3/4" thick.
