This first in the Cool Blue series of Silver Linings  is a very substantial, hand-shaped barrel with a medium-depth, fully-encasing exterior body of crystal-clear transparent glass. The use of extremely high-quality, clear transparent glass is a hallmark of the Silver Linings  collection but it's not just the "use" of a high-quality glass alone that sets a standard, it's the insistence that the glass retain its pure intended beauty throughout the process. Cool Blue is not only another fine example of clarity, it's also one that showcases why the results are so beautiful, enhancing and appealing. The interior of Cool Blue contains a number of different glasses in varying shades of blue as well as variances in opacity and transparency. Because the interior array is not a tight, solid arrangement, it allows light to pass freely and luminously throughout the charm. Light is surely the element that brings glass creations to life! And different types of light, in different settings and at different angles, create a variety of opportunities for glass creations to display multiple aspects (like the faint, rosy glow amongst the blues in this charm) that captivate and intrigue those with a fascination for them. We'll assume that you're one of those people! So, when Rebecca creates anything, she not only employs her talented eye for color but also her knowledge of the medium that she works with; and finally, she ensures the results she envisions by entrusting those to her self-taught techniques and penchant for distinction in style and quality.  1 handmade glass lampwork bead lined with sterling silver tubing (hand lined, not glued in) that is highly polished for a mirror-like shine and contoured to a smooth, tapered edge. This bead measures approx 18.5x10.5mm with a 5mm hole that will fit all Pandora, Biagi, or Trollbeads bracelets or necklaces.

 I think they also look great strung on a silver chain or matching cord. These beads will fit over most of the silver chains I own and they look lovely worn with several together or alone as a focal piece ...or whatever you choose...the possibilities are endless. : )   - Rebecca

All Fira Marina Silver Linings  charms are created individually by us - Rebecca and Matt Werner. Rebecca personally makes all of the glass charms using fine Italian, German and American glasses. Matt does all of the silver work with only solid, sterling silver tubing that is contoured to each individual bead, resurfaced to a perfect, silky smooth finish and polished to a mirror-like shine. We create all Silver Linings  charms to the highest standards we can imagine... and we're very particular! You're going to notice a difference that is truly fine and will leave you expecting more than you ever thought you could!

Each glass charm is properly cleaned and kiln-annealed for ultra-durability. The silver is highly polished and pre-treated to resist tarnish. They are uncommonly crafted to perfection and beautifully ready to wear!

Rebecca has been making lampwork glass creations since 2005 and first became familiar with European charm systems in 2006. She is completely self-taught and has always sought to create unique, personal styles from her own imagination with integrity and the utmost respect for others' unique designs and ideas - so you'll find no imitations here! The Fira Marina Silver Linings  collection was introduced in June of 2008 only after we felt prepared to offer truly unique, high-quality charms. We did our own research, our own test-making through trial and error and our own test-wearing.

Throughout this collection, you'll find what we didn't find  when we did our "market research": A very broad range of sizes and shapes in styles that were the first to incorporate a wide range of organic and silvered, reactive glass combinations along with creative uses of fine silver and other metallic elements and appearances.

By August of 2008, we realized an unexpected amount of attention and interest in the collection. Soon after, the things that we didn't find  before we started seemed to magically materialize here on eBay. We won't claim anything other than to NEVER offer anything that is recognizably the product of any other artist's imagination and honest effort. You can always count on a true original!

With visually and meaningfully inspired names and references, the collection is thoughtfully created and filled with personality and interest. Each one-of-a-kind addition is "collectible" in the true sense of a collection.
