This auction is for a very scarce issue of "Fire"., written and illustrated by "Paul Brown". It is a story about a Dalmatian and her puppies. A delightful story. Firemen and the Dalmatian. The book was published by Charles Scribner's Sons, copyrighted in 1939, and the copyright page has the nice "A" printed.
This copy is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Two flaws. No dust jacket. And, on the cover page is a short, smallish signature (in ink) of the previous owner. Also, on the plain page with "Fire" just before the story starts, is a label with the boy's name again printed neatly in ink, and dated March 7, l940. The cover is red, with black printing, and the title in black on the spine as well. The cover is clean, and in very good shape. A very small bend/wear on the outside corners. Now... as to the inside. Aside from the mentioned flaw above, the pages of this book are in Excellent Condition. No scribbles, tears, folded corners... looks unread. I do not see any discoloration from age whatsoever.
This is AN EXCELLENT COPY of this great book written and illustrated by Paul Brown. PLEASE LOOK AT PHOTOS.... ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING... I will answer any and all questions to the best of my ability. I am not a seller... I am a collector of great books (for their illustrations)....
