I have graded my records according to the following standard industry system 

NM (near mint) like new, one or two small defects only. 9 -10 on scale.

*M- (mint minus ) very nice, hairline scratch,scuff,plays clean. 8 on scale.

*VG++ (very good plus plus) still nice, plays fine, glossy but a few more defects. 7 on the scale

*VG+ (very good plus) nice but used, a series of scratches or defects. a few pops and crackles. 6 on the scale.

*VG (very good) well used but playable with moderate noise. 5 on a scale of 1-10 and as low as I will go with anything offered individually or in small lots.
