With all first printing indicators: 1) Copyright 1940 with an "A" on the copyright page. 2) Dust jacket rear panel doesn't have the photographer's name above the photo. Book Condition: Near Fine, light rubbing to spine, tight boards and spine, clean boards, repaired hinge at front endpaper with clear tape, else fine tight and nice with no signs of foxing or writing, original untrimmed fore-edge, 471 pages. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good, wrapped in mylar, price clipped, with no photo credit at rear panel of dust jacket indiciating a first printing dust jacket, tape ghostst to flaps and top of dust jacket, front flap clipped at top and bottom, shelf wear now protected by mylar and will not worsen. The original dust jacket from the original 1st/1st.
