The doll has been kept in original packaging and tissue paper/collector box and secure in the ASHTON DRAKE shipping box. I am a smoke-free household.
This porcelain bride doll, #474A, is the first issue of the CLASSIC BRIDES OF THE CENTURY(tm). Each bride is handcrafted, hand-painted, and hand-tailored with attention to detail of the fashions of her time. This doll is issued in an edition that will end forever on December, 31, 1991. After that date, the mold was broken and no more dolls were ever produced.
**Brunette hair in a pompadour, set off with faux pearl earrings. Dress is a delicate, ivory-colored gown of handkerchief linen, trimmed with rosepoint lace and embellished with "pearls". Accessories include her pearl-trimmed hat, ivory veil, gloves and a lace-trimmed parasol embellished with faux pearls also. Her bridal bouquet has roses, orange blossoms, with a spray of "pearls". She wears high-button shoes custom-made.
