Ft Myers is a low key slower-paced town located on the tropical Gulf of Mexico in Lee County, Florida. Fishing is the favorite passtime here. Ft Myers was once the winter home of Thomas Edison and the house is a museum. Ft. Myers has a historic downtown area and also a modern area called Riverwalk with with a few shops and restaurants but it is relatively quiet. Ft Myers has every convenience, a Walmart, plenty of restaurants and best of all... some of the best beaches. I drove to Sanibel Island and collected shells, I saw a dolphin come right up to the shore. Ft Myers Beach is 12 miles away and it is a nice beach town. Sanibel Island is famous for shell collecting and the beaches have nice fine white sand. Snorkel trips to the Florida Keys can be taken from Fort Myers Beach. The house is centrally located in Fort Myers with easy access to shops and downtown. Publix is the local grocery store. Every shop you could ever want is within a mile or two. Fort Myers has a nice modern library with lots of computers to work on to check your email. Cleveland route 41 is the main drag here with a Home Depot, CVS, Outback Steakhouse, Starbuck's, Big Lots, Chinese, Italian and Seafood close by and a shopping and outlet malls and lots of stores. The 75 freeway takes you all over Florida. A small drive away is Coconut Mall which is a huge deluxe mall with theaters and every shop you could want. Downtown Naples is further south and has a nice pier for fishing, beatiful upscale shops downtown. Homes is Naples range from $800K to well over a million. This house is convenient to all.
