A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
D. J. Foley was one of several photographers in the early 20th century who set up shop in the Old Village in Yosemite Valley and sold photographs and postcards to visitors.
He also developed film for those using the new Kodak cameras.
Foley wrote "Yosemite Souvenir and Guide", a guidebook with several photographs. It came out in several editions in the 1900s and 1910s.
This very rare book is being offered for sale.
The date of this book is 1915.
It is not in perfect condition and I have tried to show any defects in my pictures. Please keep in mind this book is being "sold as is".
It is such a wonderful walk back in time and the photos are truly reminiscent of a Yosemite that was.
The book measures 6.75" in height and 4.75" in width.
It contains old ads, stories and information about every landmark, and some fold-out maps.
This book will include insurance in the shipping and will require a signature for delivery.
