  Miocene-Pliocene Epochs approx. 2 million to 24 million years ago.  Extinct for over 2 million years.  Carcharocles megalodon was the largest shark to ever swim the ocean.

Reaching a length of approximately 30-70 feet, this shark was more than three times the size of the biggest modern Great White shark.  

 Found in Northern Florida, USA.  Dark Gray, It is the color of the sediment and minerals it absorbed for Millions of years!
