You're bidding on the poster pictured. This poster is a REPLICA of the Fractional Shields issued to banks by the U.S. Treasury during the 1800s as anti-counterfeiting devices. The original shields were purchased by banks at a cost of $4.50 and contained all the specimen notes in circulation at the time.

Heritage Auctions has auctioned authentic currency shields which have sold for $4,000-$6,000! If you can't afford the real thing this is the next best thing.

This poster is 20 x 28 inches and is in excellent shape (never displayed). This poster will ship in a high quality mailing tube.
