Peintre post-impressionniste de figures, portraits, paysages, natures mortes et compositions orientalistes. Pratique également l'eau-forte et la sculpture. Travaille avec une facture vigoureuse et une riche palette. Elève à l'Académie de Gand (J. Delvin). Prix Godecharle (1913). Entreprend de nombreux voyages à l'étranger, e.a. aux Pays-Bas, en France, Italie, Espagne, Afrique du Nord et Grande-Bretagne. Oeuvres au Musée de Gand.Source:Arto.

Postimpressionistisch schilder van figuren, portretten, landschappen, stillevens en oriëntalistische composities. Is eveneens actief als etser en beeldhouwer. Schildert in een krachtige factuur en met een kleurrijk palet. Opleiding aan de Academie van Gent (J. Delvin). Godecharleprijs (1913). Maakt talrijke buitenlandse reizen, o.m. naar Nederland, Frankrijk, Italië, Spanje, Noord-Afrika en Groot-Brittannië. Werk in het Museum van Gent.Bron: Arto.
