This auction is for a sterling and crystal wine bottle coaster by Frank M. Whiting, Co.  The pattern is Talisman Rose and this pattern was discontinued in 1948.  This coaster measures 6 5/8" across and will accommodate a large wine bottle (the crystal base measures 3 3/4").  It is marked on the bottom edge "Frank M. Whiting, Co., sterling".  This beautiful piece of sterling has no bends, dents or breaks.  It does need polishing.  A unique serving piece.
