This young adult Blue Jay really seems to like the Austrees out back, on a perfect Summer day.
My Bird paintings are on Duck Stamps, State DNR calendars, and a Ducks Unlimited print. I painted this one, just for you.

I borrowed one limb, clamped it in a soldering vise, and painted it in as a still life would be painted. I first moved it all around the painting, looking for the right place, the angle, and lighting. As you can see, the end of the limb wilted a little, before I was done painting, but I knew it would, and painted the end of the limb, first.
A few years ago, my paintings were awarded First Place in eBay's Artists Choice Awards, for Animal Paintings, and First Place again for Best Overall Paintings. And recently, First Place again, Acrylic Paintings. Thank you all, very much.
