An beautiful pair of vintage retro Parrot figurines by Freeman & McFarlin Potteries of California. They are a stunning set done in gold leaf paint with only their beaks and eyes being painted with color and then covered in a glossy glaze. The pictures with flash show the birds to be very shiny gold although this is not the case and so took the pictures without as well trying to get the true shade. They are more of a burnished gold with areas being darker, the smaller bird especially on his upper back and back of head (see pics). The tall bird is 11.5" tall and the other is 9" tall. They are in VG++ condition with no chips or cracks. Both are signed on the bottom with "Anthony" in cursive and both have their original gold paper labels. Date them to be ca. 1960's (+-). They are great statues and would make a great addition to any California Pottery or bird / parrot figurine collection!! **IMPORTANT -PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING!!! Buyers pay USPS Mail and insurance.
